Although our office is located in Columbia, we help clients throughout the State of South Carolina in our areas of practice. We also provide assistance in Social Security disability cases in Georgia and North Carolina.
The Attorney
Eddye L. Lane
Eddye L. Lane grew up in Canton, Mississippi, and attended neighboring Jackson State University, where she received her undergraduate degree in Business Management. In 1985, she received her Juris Doctorate from the Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. She is admitted to practice in South Carolina, Pennsylvania, District of South Carolina, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Her early years of practice started with work as an intern, and later as an attorney at South Carolina Legal Services (SCLS), formerly known as Palmetto Legal Services. She continues to maintain a relationship with the agency through their Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) which provides free legal services to its qualified clients.

Maxine has been diligently working with Eddye L. Lane, P.A. for over five years. While she has roots in Bronx, New York, she is proud to call South Carolina her longtime home. She is a proud member of Brookland Baptist Church in Columbia and stays busy with her work in various church and civic activities for the betterment of the community. Maxine may be your first line of contact with our firm.
